Elder Law

Elder law is a broad area of the law that focuses on the unique needs of elderly individuals as they face changes in their living, health care and financial circumstances. It may include updating or preparing estate planning documents, establishing and administering guardianships, explaining the complex rules regarding qualification for Medicaid benefits, and assisting with the Medicaid application process.

At Flood, Sheehan & Tobin, we work with our elderly clients to address these issues while respecting their desire to be independent. We recognize that on occasion family members or others may need to be involved with the elder’s care and financial issues. In advocating on behalf of our elderly clients, we work with these individuals to help ensure that our clients’ desires are respected and their interests are protected.
