Marcia received her law degree, summa cum laude, Order of the Coif, in 1981 from George Washington University National Law Center and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the College of The Holy Cross in 1978.  She is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, and is an inactive member of the Minnesota and Virginia bars.  Marcia holds the highest rating of AV from Martindale-Hubbell.  She is included in Woodward and White’s Best Lawyers in America for trusts and estates.

Marcia is a member of the New Hampshire Estate Planning Council, and the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Elder Law, Estate Planning & Probate Law Section, and the Catholic Lawyers Guild.

Prior to joining Flood, Sheehan & Tobin, PLLC of counsel, Marcia was a director at Orr & Reno, P.A. and previously practiced with McGuireWoods LLP, in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Leonard, Street and Deinard, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is a frequent lecturer before civic groups on estate planning and charitable gift planning.
